SC Gun Laws.............?
So in SC you can be 18 and buy a handgun from a private individual, if I am correct, but not a dealer? I think SC does not require you to register a handgun. So could someone who is over 21 give a handgun to me as a gift and I legally keep it?

You can be 'gifted' by a parent with a handgun. You must be 21 to apply for a carry permit.
