There's nothing wrong w/ crying. Lot's of kids are scared when they enter kindergarten for school, 'cause it's completely new to them. I don't think the teacher would be complaining about it. She or he might call and tell you that just to see if you could help in anyway to adjust. I doubt that the teacher would be complaining. It's unlike teachers in North America to complain about students as if they were problems. School in North America can be very different and mostly for the better than other countries. I am an immigrant too.

I think your daughter just feels too overwhelmed and scared. For someone so young it can be alot to handle. Perhaps having someone at school who comes from the same place or speaks the same language as your family can help your daughter adjust. It worked for me. Just make sure the kids are beening nice to her. Eventually, she'll volunteerly start talking other kids when she feels safe enough. Make sure she doesn't feel pressured into making friends, because it will just make it harder for her because she will feel like it's a bad thing.

And if you really have no choice, she can be home-schooled. She will still be going to school, but instead of going to public school, you can teach her, or you can hire a tutor. Even have a one on one class through the internet. Depending on where you live, home-schooling has different requirements. You could probably learn more about it through your school board system. I strongly advise against it because that way, your child doesn't learn the social and interaction skills she needs.
