FIRST LOVE - LAST LOVE
Waves of emotion spill onto the shores of my heart
Looking back at times of peace, where joy was the essence of our love
Then captured by the beauty of the fiery flame
That was to divide - our united name,
Daemons lurking in the shadows of our weakness
Playing games of juvenile proportion
Blinded by the spitting of the snake!
Our love now - to forsake,
Crashing into walls of fear and shedding countless tears
And diving into pools of pain, swimming in the whirl of games
Then washed up on this barren land
Our names once written in the sand,
And darkness fell - upon our shining light
Covered joy - with a ghastly sight
Three - now in this game for two
Was it me? Was it you?
Innocence forever lost - the beginning and the end
A string of human lovers - like angels – transcend
Broken - all the pieces fall - upon a filthy world
But in your eyes, I still see – just a little girl.
