Slammed into a weight loss plateau?

I hit a weight loss plateau and I have a few questions about it. I'm still eating right and exercising, so if I just eat a bit less and exercise a bit more it should go down right? And after I go down a few pounds after the plateau, will the weight continue coming off normally or will it all be like the plateau? Please help... I still have quite a bit of a ways to go yet, I cant stop now.
