Spanish, antes que vs antes de?

Is there a difference between "antes de" and "antes que"?

However, I think I might have figured it out...

Do you use "antes que" when the next part is a conjugated verb

Example: "Te voy a llamar antes que me vaya."

"I'm going to call you before I leave."

And you use "antes de" when the next part is an infinitive verb or a noun"

Example: "Quiero leer el libro antes de ver la película."

"I want to read the book before seeing the movie."

-- Is this correct?

-- And do you always have to use the subjunctive after using "antes que" ?
