The heating and cooling of the engine could make the spark plug come loose. It is necessary to torque down the spark plugs to the correct amount but not to over torque it. Over torque can cause the spark plug to snap.
WHAT kind of car is this thing????? Some ford truck engines had a problem with this for a while, as they used a special plug that required a special servicing tool to prevent head damage. I too have seen this, but VERY RARELY, and many times it means the plug was NOT proper installed in the first place. IT WOBBLED itself out of the hole with one great POP!
as long as the threads are still in good condition on both the head and the plug, the issue should only be related to the insufficient torque on the plug itself.
excessive engine pinging can loosen a plug or bad threads
