I would rather have one nice sub then two cheap ones. Xplods are not going to be any good. Although it may be louder it will not sound that good. You can get very good sound with the Type-R in a proper enclosure.

In the right ported enclosure you can have great sound from the Type R.

Do you want 1 good sub or 2 crappy ones, that is the question. Sony car audio sux. With a good powerful amp the r type should sound much better than the sonys.

if you trade him you will b very upset for real sony is garbage im sure your 1 will out blow his sonys anyday matched with the right amp and if your sub is 1ohm stable and so is the amp im sure you have the dvc4ohm if so its 1ohm stable just get a 1ohm stable amp and you will c a huge difference in your sub no doubt please do not trade
