So i've got this kinda old Toshiba Satelite, it's a 2008 model. I've had it for a few years now and well it's got some problems. I've already restored it to it's factory settings about 3 or more times. And well, it's got problems again.
Apart from the actual screen(which is messed up from the bottom), it has this really annoying problem that causes it to stop responding if you don't interact with it(type any keys or move the cursor) for a few minutes. It USED to be that it'd stop responding if you didn't interact with it before the screen saver popped up, but I set it to the maximum time before the screen saver appears and it still does it. IT HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE. Which is why i've had to restore it before as well. By what I remember, the last time I restored it was due to it suddenly shutting off after like 5 minutes of it being tuned on. Apparently restoring it fixed THAT problem, but now this one is still bothering me. I'm hoping to restore it by the end of tonight. Does anybody know if this would help it?

Have you checked the Power Options so that the computer doesn't go to sleep before inactivity? Its great to pro long the screen saver but I think you have to make sure that the laptop isn't going to sleep.
Sleep is good for the machine though but if its causing power options I would turn it off. Also I would go and update the power drivers for Toshiba and go out and get the latest Bios.
Thank you

it will fix it if it's a software problem
