I do not have access to a pullup bar at the moment. I do, however, have access to 2 towels and a thick tree branch (too thick to grip alone) *lol*.
So I was wondering, if I do JUST towel pullups, will it be the equivalent to doing normal ones? Will I get the same strength gains?

you might actually get stronger since they are harder to do
but it is exercising slightly different muscles that a bar pull-up
