Toyota Corolla S a good car?
I have been looking st which type of car would best suit my needs, and I am strongly considering a Toyota corolla S (06 and newer). Mainly for the gas mileage and nice look. Anyone have opinions on these cars?

those cars are known for reliability....it's a great daily driver
Great car and looks good too. Don't expect it to be a sportscar either. The sporty Corolla was the XRS; The S is kind of the wanna be. Still, it gets amazing gas mileage, has plenty of pep, and is reliable .... provided it's been well maintained.

I was based in Germany when the Corolla Lift Back first came out in 1978, 2 years before England and loved it.

the latest model "Corolla S" looks good and gets 40+MPG... you should check it out
