I have a total of 6 feral cats. 3 grown ups, the mama & 2 tomcats that are younger than her but that follow her around like she is a queen. And 3 kittens that are almost 4 months old. (I died for unknown reasons, I didn't know it was sick)
I was feeding them in a trap inside. But when my house got infested, I moved the cats outside and haven't fooled with the traps.
Yesterday, i saw a lump in one of the kittens that I suppose is a hernia.
The spay/neuter place said they can fix it for an extra $15 when I bring it in to get fixed and that its not going to die from it.
My trapping issue is I tend to feed 6 cats at once. And they kind of change bowls & so forth with the kittens getting whatever they want and the tomcats trying to mate with the mama but settling for food.
So, I cant trap & transport all 6 at once. Maybe 2. So I figure the priority are Mama (so she doesn't have a 2nd litter) and the one with the hernia.
But, HOW do I trap just those 2 when all 6 come for food on a regular basis ?
Update:Im afraid the trap would injure another cat when it closes.

That's an awesome thing you are doing. Maybe you can set the two traps and if you don't get who you want, let them out and try again at the next feeding. Not sure there are many other options. Will the spay/neuter place lend out traps? Maybe you could take 4 more traps and trap all at once.. Then you can let the other 4 go and take the two you need. Good luck!
