Hi all,
I am thinking of learning either Unilange or Esperanto. They were both built for the same purpose and they both seem to be easy and derived from Romance languages.
I can learn both of them for free, so there is no money issue.
Esperanto: http://lernu.net/
Unilange: http://unilange.weebly.com/
So, if you guys were me, which would you learn?? There sort-of the same thing, I just cannot decide which one (I definitely want one of the two though). I think the only difference is that less people speak Unilange since it's a lot newer (according to the websites).
Thanks,
Anne

There is nothing stopping you from learning both languages.
I learned Esperanto many years ago, and I have enjoyed
using Esperanto all those many years. Esperanto was
published 123 years ago, after more than 10 years of
testing it, by translating many books, and making sure that
the language worked well.
You can find thousands of web pages written in Esperanto.
You can chat with people in more than 100 countries. Just
on the web you will find thousands of books and magazines
written in Esperanto ... all for free.
You can learn to read Esperanto after studying it less than
20 hours. After some practice, you will start to speak the
language. You will understand spoken Esperanto. You may
listen to Esperanto radio, from China, Poland, Canada, and
a few other countries. You will find hundreds of Esperanto
songs in the web, many videos, and a few full length movies.
I just read all the ten lessons from Unilange. I didn't find more
advanced material. It looks that to learn some vocabulary,
let's say 2000 - 3000 words, will take much longer than to
do the same in Esperanto.
It seems that this language was made in a hurry a few months
ago. For example, lesson 3 shows the alphabet and says
that there is no "F" in Unilange. Still, later they show several
words starting with f (the words for woman, cheese, to do
or to make)
But make your own choice. First study Esperanto during
20 hours. Then go and read the whole course of Unilange.
Then look at all the material available in Esperanto that you
can find in the web. Then try to use Unilange.
If you manage to learn Unilange, you will be able to speak
only with people that know English ... because the course
to learn Unilange exist only in English.
For learning and using Esperanto, look at the page
