Unwanted Emails (spam)?
according to directive 2002/58/ec of the european parliment and the coucil of 12july 2002 any company can not send an email to an individual unless explict consent is given.
Is anyone out there aware of any web site that lists the steps to make a claim against spammers that include templates of letters etc

Update 3:I already know the sender of the spam , its a company who I have already unregistered from and they still insist on send me mail - therefore asked for , so spam.
I need to know how to sue these people to stop them doing it - for my sake and other peoples. I dont need to know how to stop spam I already know that.

It's truely a lost cause trying to do such a task. Spammers do 2 things that make tracking them down virtually impossible:
1 - they forge the return addresses, making them valueless
2 - they have developed networks of zombie computers that send out the spam for them, unbeknown to the computer owners, by sending worms & trojans that have infected these computers & harvested all the addresses in their address books
The internet cops could move against the web sites that the spam directs us to, but these close down & open up at a different site quickly, so that becomes a 'chasing a ghost' situation.
The best way to handle spam is education, spam tools, and behavior change. Yahoo has some good info on it here:

I can understand your annoyance with them, Big Al, but I think you just click the Spam button on them & move on.
Or if you've got lots & lots of free time & enjoy a challenge, start a blog about it / them. Be prepared for the inevitable libel & slander charges to be thrown at you, for more agrevation as well.
Or just spam it & enjoy life
