the computer guy said he couldnt change the graphcics card wihout changing the motherboard cause its built in or whatever. so could i get a dedicated graphics card??

You could however, find a pci card not to be confused with pci-e.
But these cost more than they are worth.
It may be time to buy a new PC and let someone who don't need intensive graphics for gaming have it.

You can install another graphics card. If you do, the on-board video is disabled.
A decent video card starts around $69 and goes up to $400 or so. Get the best that you can afford.
