Major terrorist attack on 9/11, major economic recession, 2 wars that have done nothing except increase chances of another terrorist attack. But after 8 years of Bush, the thing that really mattered and caused "Tea Party Movement" was a Black man taking office. You can deny racism among conservatives all you want. But 2 years of Obama (failed reform) vs. 8 years of Bush (2 failed wars, 1 MAJOR terrorist attack, a giant economic recession), how can race not be a factor? And was George Bush just a cruel joke? It doesn't seem possible that one man can do so much harm.

YES. It's hard to imagine a bigger failure of a presidency. But go back even further. The Republicans' anti-government/ anti-deregulation mantra over the last 30 years is THE main reason for the Great Recession. Republicans gave Wall Street a liscense to rape and pillage by dismantling regulations that were put in place after the Great Depression. The next 70 years saw ZERO major contractions. Go figure. Commodity and bank deregulation are the legacy of the pig Republicans, who are extremely non-conservative fiscally. A Wall Street scam with invented bundled mortgage securities along with insurance on these securities called Credit Default Swaps was the ultimate bubble burst.
Anyone, and I mean both liberals and right wing kooks, that thinks the economy will turn back to boom times anytime soon is kidding themselves. It's comical for the right wing kooks to announce as early as late 2009 that the Dems failed to "fix" the economy. It either shows how totally ignorant they are of American capitalism and economic cycles OR they are full of crap. In most cases, it's both.
Without question, if McCain or another Republican won the election and Repubs had Congressional majorities, the economy would be approximately the same or slightly worse.
properly, confident, he's an inocmpetent fool -- and lots, plenty worse, what with having commited Crimes against Humanity, conflict Crimes, being a traitor, torturer, mass-assassin and all. His being an insignificant fool seems to be his appropriate characteristic. He did not get voted into place of work of president -- not whilst quickly as, not to point two times (yet whether he had, that doesn't make him any much less of a moron, ignorant, mendacity, murdering, torturing, thieving, corrupt traitor). In 2000, the Republicans who ran the Florida election had Democrats removed from the voter registration lists -- denying them the vote. (there have been different Shenanigans, yet that selection into probable the main devestaving.) Gore gained the traditional election; however the Electoral vote got here all the way down to Florida -- which substitute into stolen. In 2004 the Electoral vote got here all the way down to Ohio the place the balloting machines (without paper returned-up) have been programmed to % Bush (nevertheless there have been what have been euphamistically called "irregularities" everywhere). So, he wasn't legitimately elected president whilst quickly as. yet whether he had, that doesn't magically turn him right into a man or woman. all the skill in Hogwarts college could not do this.
Bush's presidency was NO joke. It was an 8 yr nightmare that I was so so happy to wake up from. The joke is that people seem to have forgotten. The joke is that Republicans would rather see the country go down the toilet than see Obama succeed.
YES and now cons spin the truth and blame Democrats as if the truth about Republicans is just not so obvious.
Most Cons /Reps are a cruel joke.
Maybe a cruel joke
That was Jimmy Carter's, long lines for gas, rationing, 55MPH speed limits, hostages in Iran, double digit inflation, unemployment, interest rates, and giving away the Panama Canal. Hm, what did I miss, I remember we couldn't wait to throw him out, just like the current idiot.
Yeah it was a sucky joke.
Yes.
Bushs 4% unemployment sounds like a joke these days indeed.
Ok, and now he is out of office. The wars are still going on, the economy is worse. It is amateur hour in the White House and he must go.
