Wow, you guys actually have such a thing like that? I think it's pretty interesting. Unfortunately, a lot of lower income families which actually get such assistance, like you said, will probably spend the money on useless things. Theoretically its an excellent idea, but in reality, I'm sure it just helps some kids destroy themselves more. So I'd have to agree with you.

I suppose in a way it's fair...for them. It saves their parents, who earn little, dishing out money.

But my parents earn too much so I don't get it. =/ I see people in my school getting like 30£ every week and I get nothing. I don't recieve anything from my parents ANYWAY, I would not take any money off them, so basically people are getting extra cash in their hands for nothing.

Because they're doing the exact same as me-just school- it's not like they're working or anything, whereas some of us don't get anything as it's all based on our parents income.
