Don't know for sure, but you need to pay attention to all of the diagnostics in your blood test to see what's going on. If your triglycerides are high, your body could be manufacturing the cholesterol, which sometimes happens when a person eliminates cholesterol from their diet, or has a diet where calories come primarily from carbohydrates. If this is the case, you need to increase the amount of saturated fats and protein in your diet, and if possible, reduce saturated fats and simple carbohydrates. Increased amounts of unsaturated fats in the diet boosts HDL cholesterol, which tends to lower LDL cholesterol that is associated with the build-up of arterial plaque. Some scientists think that increasing the ratio of HDL cholesterol to LDL cholesterol may be more important than keeping total cholesterol low.
In addition to dietary changes, exercise is important for lowering cholesterol.

I dont know but my cholestrol is high too. I was put on lopid 1 a day for a year, but i dont take it. I hate taken pills.
It doesn't only depend on what you eat, it's also if you are an active person or not! The more active you are, the less cholestoral problems you will have!
