Why do a minority of men look at porn in a public place like a library or a computer lab?
It really is annoying, they could try to be a bit more discreet. I've seen it in the New York Public Library, the Holland MIchigan public library, Fedex Kinkos and Starbucks.

I guess they are going to give themselves a hand in the bathroom? I dunno, maybe they don't have a computer at home.
Actually our library here in CA has all "adult materials", including any site with dating or personals blocked. You can have access to them granted by going to the circulation desk with the number of the computer you are using along with photo ID letting them know you are over 18. They will then grant access to that computer for the block of time you are signed up for. All in all, most people would be too embarrassed to go through this entire procedure just to look at porn.
I work in a hospital. Female nurses will complain that some older man will deliberately exposing themselves to them. Some even will make advances at the same time. I think that and viewing porn in the library is for attention. They can't get an intimate reaction, so they have to settle for a shock reaction.
Just the other day I was reading a novel called: "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov.
I was reading it next to a teenage girl...
You could consider the novel "Lolita" to be erotic.
And I purposely let her see the title and the picture..
The picture showed a pair of legs and a skirt of a teenager - which I find to be attractive.
I wanted shock value and I wanted to tell her a message. xD
