The church of CHRIST does not offer entertaining bands, singer groups, dancers, or any other "crowd gathers". They only offer the truths found in the oracles of God and simple GOD honoring worship.

Cults and denominations are usually ruled by one individual no matter how many congregations are created from his or her original congregation. Sometime there is a counsel or ruling "group" which oversees all the congregation of the particular denomination.

All church of CHRIST congregations are autonomous, self ruled according by scriptures, have elders as overseers, the only constitution they have is the scriptures, their evidences of persuasion are from the scriptures, what they practice are BIBLICALLY sound. Therefore the church of CHRIST does not fit the defination of denomination.

When church of CHRIST is on the sign outside the building it is NOT a name of a denomination....it simply shows WHO are meeting in the building and WHOM they follow

Denominationalism is contrary to the teachings of the Bible. "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment" (I Corinthians 1:10).

Christ said that HE would build HIS church (singular) Matt. 16:18...He did NOT say that He would build a bunch of different denominations with conflicting doctrines and traditions that are contrary to the very oracles of God.

Where the word churches (plural) is used in scripture it is NEVER used to designate different denominations, but rather, CHRIST's church in different locations/communities. Example: Corinth, Ephesus, Jerusalem, etc.

CHRIST is the head of THE body (Col. 1:18)...THE body is THE church...Eph. 1:23..CHRIST is the SAVIOR of THE body (Eph. 5:23)..There is only ONE body (Eph. 4:4)..CHRIST loved THE church and gave HIMSELF (shed his blood) for IT (singular)...Eph. 5:25

THE church is THE body of Christ..If one is not a member of THE church that CHRIST said that HE would build, then one is NOT part of CHRIST's body....to reject CHRIST's church (body) is to reject the SAVIOR of THE body....Jesus Christ.

Christ purchased the church with HIS blood (Acts 20:28). He must have thought that His church was to be a VERY important part of a Christian's life because HE adds the saved to THE church according to Acts 2:47.

Considering that Christ said that HE would build HIS church (singular).....doesn't it make sense to be added to HIS church. One does not JOIN His church...it is HE who adds the saved to HIS church.

i wager in case you flow by ability of which denomination of church you attend, maximum Christians are Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant. i do not imagine many regularly happening church homes fall outdoors of that umbrella (regardless of the actual undeniable reality that some call themselves non-denominational) in my view, I enable Jesus coach me, and some issues i have realized do not trust both Catholic/Protestant dogma. The Bible is a lot extra complicated than the mandatory human being realizes. for this reason, I evaluate myself non-denominational. i'd really flow to a church that changed into training the note perfect, than flow to a church because it changed into of a particular denomination... so some distance as Protestants flow, there have also extremely been many "one-offs" in modern years, so can one extremely categorize them as "protesting" Catholicism?
