will my dell dimension 3000 desktop accept a 750 gb hard drive (internal).?
i just found out my pc only accepts a max of 2gb of RAM, so i wonder if their is a max on the hard drive itself, and if their is what is the largest hard drive i can use?
The "maximum hard drive" that will be accepted can be affected by the BIOS (but usually there is an update that will fix this) and how big of a Hard Drive or Partition of the Hard Drive the Operating System can handle.
Unfortunately Dell does not specify on their website which motherboards they use, so I can't tell you "how big" of a Hard Drive the board will support. You should be able to contact Dell about this.
I have dell dimension 8200 desktop and i had about 120GB hard drive now i have 750 GB. It will accept the 750GB hard drive with no problem. But you might have reinstall windows. And also check your old hard drive with what cables they were connected its either Ata or Sata.

You can use 1TB Hard Drive but i think you should be good with 750GB unless you need more space.
