I have a windows Vista, and it's been going insane on me lately, and I have no idea way.
I haven't installed anything dangerous on the computer. . .
but anyway.
I want to restore the computer back to it's original settings.
How do I do this without a restore cd.
Is this even possible?

Start==>Help&Support==>type:"system restore" or only "restore" maybe it works.
Depends on the make and model of the computer if there is a hidden restore partition where you can reset to default factory settings.
I take it you have never created a restore cd/dvd. How far back are your restore points?
In the meantime, you can attempt to disable features that are being troublesome to give stability to the system..by using a program called Vlite.

Also, I would run system file check and check defrag going through maintenance motions again. It could be a hardware problem as well...but since you think its software relative to your OS, I'm basing my reply on that.
I would still run Adware 2008 to see if there's any baddies on there.
click the pearl button > accessories > system tools > system restore...
follow the instructions..
if you dont have any restore points, the system restore wont work, but i doubt it becoz by 'default', windows vista have "automatically make restore point before update" enabled
that is, if u have a recent update, u can use the restore point that was made before that update was installed.
you could attempt finding the drivers on your laptop on the employer internet site. If its and HP you will detect the drivers on the HP internet site. restoration can in easy terms artwork interior a definite timeframe. Its in all probability your computing gadget drivers. If that doesnt artwork in case you will detect your receipt. Your nonetheless decrease than the manufacturers guarantee for a twelve months. you have the flexibility to get it repaired at no value. and not in any respect take computing gadget suggestion from ppl that use MACS. They understand no longer something approximately computing gadget thats why they use MACS.
