I have a stock certificate for a corporation called anon oil company of delaware. I've contacted the registered agent but they do not have any information on the the company. How can I find out if there is any value in the stock? I've called the secretary of state and they said they could not release any information. I've been told to contact a stock broker but they all require a fee just to determine if there is a value in the stock. Would a company that is no longer in good standing mean they went bankrupt? Does that include if the corporation was sold?
