But stuck in quicksand, yes. The fossil fuel industry and their political surrogates in the GOP have (and continue to) do everything they can to block entry into the market of competition. That's slowing progress, and the economic benefits, to a crawl. Not to mention proving the conservatives don't actually support any of the essential features of a capitalist system: free markets, innovation or entrepreneurship.
