So i come back from school,I go to my computer and attempt to log in but it dosen't work.
I know the Password wasnt changed because it is my own personal computer
Heres what it said every time i attempt to log in
"The system could not log you in.Make sure your Username and DOMAIN are correct, then type your password again."
So what the heck is DOMAIN and how do i log back in and fix this problem.
(Btw the comp. is windows XP)
Update:Edit:I tried a few procedures.
When i press F8 it gives me no Option whatsoever to Be admin.
Only "Safe mode"

hit CTRL - ALT -DELETE I'm assuming that is how you logon. Then you will see a prompt with 3 lines, Username, Password, at the bottom is the DOMAIN. If you don't see that bottom Domain part, click the OPTIONS button to show it....
looks like this -> http://blog.case.edu/djc6/XP_Logon_Screen.jpg
Now if you have no clue what a domain is, and you have one setup, then i'm guessing you didn't set it up, so ask the person in your house that did set it up ;-) Cause it might be that the Domain Controller is Down for some reason, and thats why you can't logon....
hope it helps...
hmm there could be a numbber of problems including whats wrong with your computer so here is what to do. start your computer up and press f8 a whole lot, this will bring you up to a black screen with white lettering, under settings you can turn administrator account on or off, turn it on, then boot your computer like normal....above your account there will be an account named administrator, it should require no password and from there you can change your other account password :) hope this helps
Edit:
hmm well your computer may be different than mine lol, try del, f10, f12 works sometimes or f5 works on diff computers, if you know what kind of computer you got just do another edit and ill let you know what yours is, if you wanna find it out yourself go to google and type in "how to get into (computer brand)'s cmos setup'' it will tell you exactly what buttons to use........when you get into that it will give you lots of options one of which will allow you to turn on administrator, and cause you didnt know about it than it will have no password, sorry i cant help more but idk what kinda comp you got
The 'Administrator' account don't have a PW via default, its your fault in case you place a password on it. it is the right clarification why I go away that account on my own so purely incase i'm getting into circumstances like this i will get well my account! the only version of abode windows that via defaut has a PW on the admin account is Media center & i think of XP Embedded does too. purely reboot your laptop & press F8 Chosse risk-free Mode await it besides & then variety 'administrator' contained in the consumer call field Press enter bypass to consumer money owed and eliminate forgotten PW Reboot & log in under popular account Voila! Orrr (this might in basic terms artwork if welcome demonstrate is enabled) enable yor laptop boot commonly once you get to the Welcome demonstrate (the place you may click your consumer call) Press 'Ctrl + Alt + Del' 2 cases and while the login field pop's up variety 'administrator' & press enter!bypass to consumer money owed and eliminate the forgotten PW sign off and log back in as your popular account as quickly as back VOILA!!
take it to your local Computer store and get them to look at it
you must have receipts to say you own it
or it can be taken by the police....
