Short story: I moved home 11 months ago and haven't told my friends yet. They live down the street but somehow we haven't seen eachother. I'm trying to quit smoking and drink less but that's all they do. They smoke pot too. I'm trying to fix my life but I don't think I can if I hang out with them but my friend asked if I'm around at Christmastime. What should I do?

stay away from them
Make yourself busy with your new life. You will find that you will always have something better to do rather than hanging out with people who are up to things that are of no interest to you anymore. As you have less and less in common with your old friends it will just be natural that you and they will gain new friends and all will be neutral and well between all of you.
Blessings to you for choosing a healthier life and being a leader by example!
You're on the right track. Now ask for the help of Jesus and don't look back. Forget that Christmas social. The Lord doesn't take this tradition as seriously as people do.
The Lord wants to save you even if it means sacrificing your "old" friends. You will gain better ones on the other side, the Lord's side.
You could tell your friends that you are going to be really busy with family and visiting other family over Christmas. And all you can do when it's over is keep making excuses until they stop asking. Good luck in getting your life together.
You could just not be friends with the people you feel are a bad influence. There is no law that says we have to remain friends with people forever. You shouldn't be friends with people who make you feel uncomfortable anyway. Get new friends that make you happy not sad.
Proclaim the gospel to them and I promise you that God will either convert them, or they will start leaving you alone.
Repentance toward the Father, faith in Christ Jesus.
He died for our sins according to the scriptures.
He was buried.
He rose again on the third day according to the scriptures.
The gospel. Full and complete. Front and center.

Do not associate with these unbelievers -
If you really want to turn your life around,
find your local SDA Church, seek out the Pastor
and explain exactly what you want to do -
I Know we can help you achieve your goals.
Mean time keep Praising God . . .
If you call Him by His right name YAHUSHUA, and inform them that He was killed on Wed and rose Sat night about sundown, they will for sure leave you alone.
Tell them that you have other plans - which you do.
