So, I know that mascara shields are usually used to keep mascara from getting on your skin, but I read somewhere that it's better if you use one when applying mascara even if you don't usually get it on your lids because it makes it so your lashes can't wiggle out of the way, ensuring that each lash gets coated from root to tip. True? I heard that you can use a business card instead of buying a mascara shield, but will that hurt your eye and give you paper cuts? And will it mess up you eyeliner?

Not at all. The mascara shield is marketed for protecting your already finished eye make up from getting mascara steaks on it, and messing up your whole look.
I find that combing your eyelashes with olive oil at night helps them grow.
My trick to giving my clients fab lashes is 1 coat of mascara, use a lash curler at the lash line for 5 seconds, then the middle of your lashes for 5 more, then another coat of mascara.
With any mascara is a difficult one when you consider that some tend to clumb i propose lashblash, orlash out (loreal) but for ur question curl ur eyelahes first follow mascara with wiggling movement going up dont let it dry in between ensure to do the backside eyelashes 2. If there are any clumps brush them out with these little eyelash brushes. One other neat trick is to place eyeliner now not just anywere although,. Carry up ur top eye lid and put eyeliner on the inside base of ur eyelahes. It will make it seem thicker. :) hope i helped! Luv ali
