Filemaker pro difference?
We have filemaker pro 5 and thinking to upgrade to filemaker 8... should we pay the technicians to do it or is it easy enough to do it ourselves?

Right now by current standards filemaker 5 is too old although if you are using it with cdml you have to be careful because it is no longer supported by the latest versions of filemaker. If you are using it as a desktop app the transition should be smooth. If you are doing several tables now filemaker allows for relational tables, so read a bit upon that before you do your migratiion.
