I'm getting two teeth removed, and apparently my insurance doesn't cover laughing gas but it's willing to pay for a general anesthetic! u_u I don't like the thought of me being asleep while other people are doing stuff to me.
But then again - I'm scared of just getting Novocain. Any tips? xP

We do not charge our patients extra for happy gas- two extractions with novocain only is fine, just relax. How much is happy gas, anyway. Maybe just pry open your wallet and pay for it. It can't be that much. That is probably what I would do.
I have had a number of teeth removed in my life including all of my wisdom teeth. I only had laughing gas once and all the rest were done with novocain. It works just fine. I agree about the general anesthetic too - don't want to be asleep at the dentist's office and it's dangerous too. The novocain also doesn't mess you up for the rest of the day, it just makes you drool a little until it wears off. You'll be fine!
