I just dated this incredible girl and we had nothing but an awesome time together. She used to date this guy (who was also her first boyfriend) who was controlling and verbally abusive. They broke up about 3-4 times over. Her friends and parents hate him. She would tell me how she hated the things he did and how she couldn't be his friend. Now we've broken up and they're friends, however she isn't dating him nor really hanging out with him. She's basically shut me out of her life, although she really wanted to be friends and still hang out. I still get the feeling she really misses me (she has to!) but we haven't talked in almost 2 weeks (except brief text message). She even blocked me on AIM (wtf?) yet Im on her top 8 on MySpace (it's been long enough to change it).
Im trying my best with moving on, but am I right in thinking to just be scarce in her life/leave her alone and one day she'll miss me?

You're completely right. Nothing makes a girl think more about you than when you ignore the hell out of her. Especially in the situation you're in. I would also reccomend trying meet other women.
You got the first part of it right. The moving on and being scarce in her life.
The second part is a waste of time. She left, even if she comes back, why would you want her back. There are plenty of good women that don't come with the, 'I need to be treated like dirt' baggage.
You sound like me when I was younger. It took a long time for Me to figure out the fine line between caring for and treating a woman right. And being an absolute doormat. My guess is that you did everything you possibly could and anything she wanted you to do. So she left you. It'll keep happening over and over again till you learn to do that and still be in charge.
Forget her dude. She is obviously messed up in the head. Low self esteem ya know. Move on and don't look back. Even if she wants to hook back up. DON'T! Trust me.
Ignore her, itll drive her crazy if she still likes you.
