Sounds like me. But I've been through the transition of acting way beyond stupid when he's around. Now I'm cool and collected and I don't have to do much, but wait for him. I must've drove my friends crazy. Anyways, you should always smile at him and send him little hints. That's what I do cause I'm shy too. Find out when his birthday is and surprise him with a card. Say you lost your pen and ask him if he has an extra one. Don't forget to give it back to him. Uh, and say hi every once in a while when you see him the hallway. Help him with his classwork if he needs help. Even ask him if he did last night's homework when you walk into class. There's so many conversations you can strike up. Well, you should start to talk to him. Find out his interests, hobbies, likes/ dis likes, etc. ( let him do most of the talking) The first step is becoming friends having each others trust. Then maybe you guys can make study dates, etc. Once he gets to know you he'll prob. ask you out. ( it seem hard but it not)
