ok so my car was driving perfect, i maintain it oil change tire pressure all fluids etc.
well today driving from work, i made a turn and halfway my car started acting like if it was on Neutral the Rpm moved up and well the car didnt speed up..... i turned off the car for a few minutes and turn it back on and it worked it went up to 30MPH and dies out again....
i got home i drained the transmission oil it had a funny smell, ok so i drained it and put new oil in (my civic doesnt have a oil filter for the transmission according to auto zone) well i test drove the car and it drove PERFECT! i took the car up to 60MPH and the transmission was perfect. i got back home turned off the car and ten minutes later.....
bang! same thing it wont do anything the car will run for a bit but once u stop the car the transmission will no longer work it goes on Neutral and car wont move.....
so yeah any help would be amazing i need my car to get to work school and back....

sorry to say the trans is gone the filter is plugging up with debris more than likely coming from the torque converter which is going common problem with the honda's and and auto zone is right there is a filter but can only get to it by pulling transmission apart

Say you're going to drive the car for 70,000 miles If you drive it for 70,000 miles, the civic won't give you any problems, the galant will probably have some minor problems, I've seen some, the transmission was horrible in one, and the AC didn't work in the other, so be prepared for about 2k in repairs, I think the civic is more fuel efficient and will have a higher resale value. Although an 03 Civic for 6k, with only 30,000 seems a little strange, same thing with galant, are you sure there is nothing wrong with either of them.
