Like the bible says, "Be still, and know that I am God;..."
Seek only to bask and bathe in the power, peace, stillness and silence of God, rather than to yabber on about your issues as if you have the right to take with you, the crap of the world and your life, into a place of pure peace, silence, harmony and stillness.
HINDRANCES TO PRAYER (R.A. Torrey). (1) Selfish purposes (Jam. 4:3). (2) Iniquities (Is. 59:1,2; Ps. 139:23,24; 66:18). (3) Idols in the heart (Eze. 14:3). These can be friends, pleasures, habits, hobbies, sports, possessions, business, reputation, money, anything that comes before God. (4) Ignoring the needs of others (Pr. 21:13). (5) Disobedience to God's Word (1 Jn. 3:22; Pr. 28:9). (6) Not forgiving others (Mk. 11:25). (7) Strained relationships between husband and wife (1 Pe. 3:7). (8) Unbelief (Jam. 1:5-7; He. 11:6). (9) Not abiding in Christ (Jn. 15:7). (10) Not abiding in Truth (Ps. 145:18).
Except that you know God through Jesus Christ, as in born again John 3:3, 3:36...... He will not hear you..
John 9:31 (NKJV)
31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.
by faith there is always hope in Jesus Christ who loved us for those who will repent of their evil ways and believe, John 3:16-18, receiving the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
He only wants obedience. You can only feel Him when you obey. But don't really know if that is true. He will only let you feel His presence when He sees fit. Now I believe that to be true.
