I have very clogged pores especially on my nose. I got a facial once and she was so surprised by how much oil and stuff was built up in my pores. She wanted me to get a facial every week, but i cannot afford that. I tried those strips you wet and put on and then rip off, but nothing worked.

Tretinoin, which is the generic name for Retin-A, is the gold standard for reducing oil production and deep exfoliation of pores. It is a prescription only product, and though costly up front, it is more effective than facials and can be used nightly in your own home. A facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist will be able to prescribe a tretinoin in a proper formulation for you skin type.
Another option is benzoyl peroxide, which is non-prescription. This too helps with reduction of oil and exfoliation. Almost every one has larger, more noticeable pores on the nose. It is just the nature of skin in that area. But with regular use of good products, you can improve the appearance of pores on the nose.
I work for a facial plastic surgeon.
