I'm listening to the album Born to Die and while I adore it (I love her music). I feel like she talks about dying and recklessly depressing behavior a lot. I really like her lyrics because of it. It's great, I just wanna know if anyone knows more about her lyrics and inspiration. Is it as depressed as I'm taking it?

I love her style of writing too and I think she just embraces the old school style of writing in a very blues-y way where you embrace the pain in your life and covey that into your songs, so it feels real and relateable. It's very honest and beautifully raw.
