it all honestly depends on what you want to do with them, im personally partial to the kabar, it holds an edge better than the stainless steel that many buck knives use, but if you dont take the time to maintain the kabar it will rust(they use carbon steel, which is better for holding an edge, is easier to sharpen, and easier to fix a ding or otherwise messed up edge) in my opinion get the kabar, but also get a smaller folder to go with it(as a larger knife is not always the best choice for all jobs) good luck and hope this helps.
