I own a Sony VAIO laptop. It has a crack from literally the top left to the bottom right of the screen. It looks like a crack, but when I run my hands over it, I don't feel an indent. I know it's stupid but for some reason I knelt down on the screen when it was closed.
Is it really officially a crack?
Can I do anything myself to repair it?
Would I have to pay for an entire new screen?
How much do screens cost?
How much would it cost if I were to take it into future shop or something?
If you can answer at least one of these questions I would REALLY appreciate it

It's pretty tough to replace a cracked screen on a laptop, though it is possible. Depending on the computer, it might cost just as much to get a new one as it would to replace the screen. Take it into Best Buy or a local computer shop and see if there is anything they can do for you.

What you can do is hook it up to a desktop monitor.
