Go to your local music store. Gibson and Fender are brand names. You can't go wrong and doesn't matter where you buy it as long as you have a good guarantee and a good price.

The reason I suggest this is because you can trust that any Les Paul will be what your wife is looking for. You can't really go wrong with a Les Paul as long it's Gibson. NOT EPIPHONE.

I would suggest getting a Les Paul studio. It's a higher end Les Paul, but for the price, it's the best Les Paul.

In Canada, I'd say the best place to buy a Gibson is from a Long and McQuade Musical Instruments store. I've been a customer of theirs for over 20 years. Almost every place sells them, they are very popular and very expensive, unless you get an epiphone les paul.
