I'm planning on getting my physical at meps soon and I'm a little nervous. I just got a waiver for a surgery so I'm glad that is over and done with but now I'm nervous about my meps physical. Is this a big deal that I should be nervous about or is this not much to worry about?

Nothing to worry about. The worst part of MEPS is the long periods of waiting and waiting! 13 hours of waiting to be exact! Also, the duck walk is the worst part. I hated it! Look it up on YouTube. I almost got DQ because I couldn't do it. In my final attempt, I was able to do it! Here is the overview of the physical:
They will:
1)check your pressure
2)Take your blood
3)hearing test
4)Vision and color blindness test
5)take an alcohol test as soon as you get there
6)private physical 1-1 with doctor
7)After the 1-1, you will do 20 or so exercises to check your bone joints (including the duck walk)!
8)urine test!
9)girls will take a pregnancy test!
The civilian doctors are so mean! They will scream at you if you don't pay attention!
The main thing that I hated about the initial MEPS physical is that it took so damned long.
But it's nothing worth being worried about.
Don't worry about it. they check your blood pressure, your vision, hearing, draw blood and ask for a urine sample all to make sure you're healthy and able. Its a long day with paperwork and moving back and forth. Good luck!
