has anyone bought canvas prints off mypix.com? They seem quite a bit cheaper than other websites.. are they any good? Do they come stretched on a frame or just the canvas?

Yes, I have bought them. The quality is as good as anything else that comes out of Mpix, which means excellent. The canvas is a "gallery wrap". Be sure and allow for some loss of photo area where it wraps around the thick frames. I can't remember if they offer just the canvas print unmounted or not, but the site will tell you that. I am pretty sure all you can get is the gallery wrap. The only thing I do not like about the product is they put a cardboard back on the rear. I prefer an open back and an internal mounted wire hanger. This way, the canvas will hang flush against the wall. As delivered the Mpix gallery wrap will not hang flush against the wall without some modifying.
While this is being discussed, there are other options at Mpix that you may want to use. They have what is called a canvas on stretcher frame. This is NOT a gallery wrap or a photo printed on canvas. Instead the photo is bonded to canvas under very high pressure. This canvas is then stretched over thin stretcher frames with staples exposed around the edges. No part of the photo wraps around the edge.
Then there is yet another canvas option, and this is my personal favorite. It is canvas on matboard. Again, the photo is NOT printed directly on canvas. The canvas is sandwiched between the photo and a heavy piece of matboard. The assembly is bonded together under very high pressure. The photo actually takes on the texture and look of the canvas, but the sharpness of a "normal" print is better maintained as opposed to printing directly onto canvas material. Almost everything I order through Mpix is the canvas on matboard. I then frame it without glass. It is a great look that basically gives you the best of a canvas and normal print.

ADD: Ooops, yes, sorry, my mistake. Mpix is so often discussed on these forums, that my mind, what is left of it, immediately read your question as Mpix instead of MyPix. I see MyPix appears to be a UK based service.
So, my answer to you is not accurate as relating to MyPix. I have no experience with them. Sorry.
My father is a personal portrait and canvas printer, he takes great studio portraits and makes fine canvas prints with nice frames and he also does all sorts of effects with canvas and paints etc, his website is currently down but if you want more information contact me through yahoo. =)
Steve, be aware that there IS a place called MyPIX.com, so that might not be a typo.
I agree that the MPIX.com canvas prints are marvelous, but I have never heard of MyPIX.com before your question. Be sure your answerer is talking about the same thing you are talking about.
