Hi! I’ve read a lot of reviews on comparison of different shopping carts like Magento vs. Zen
Cart, Magento vs. Prestashop and so on. I’d like to read your opinions considering PrestaShop
and Shopify. The thing is, I’m planning to start a relatively small online store. I was thinking of
Shopify and PrestaShop. I like the simplicity of Shopify, but PrestaShop seems to have even
more functionality and is free. What do you think?

Both are rather good, not overstuffed with too many functions, quite easy-to-use -
perfect solutions for small online business. I would rather choose PrestaShop as it’s a free
solution with all the necessary features, it has a huge community, so it’s easy to find support and
solutions of any problems. And if you have any difficulties with handling it, you’d better spend the
money on some additional software, something like this: http://www.prestashopmanager.com/
Zencart Vs Prestashop
With Prestashop, you'll need a hosting package. It's a free open source cart. I'd suggest OpenCart though. It's simple to use (it takes me about 4 hours to set up a fully functional shopping cart). There's some great tutorials on OpenCart here:

It appears Shopify hosts your cart on their servers, and is only free for 30 days. It's not open source but seems easy to use. If you have a hosting plan somewhere and a domain name I suggest using OpenCart over Prestashop or Shopify. I hope this helps!
Shopify is mainly used for small projects but the prestashop is for large projects.
Both are very easy to use and customize. Both have many functionalities.
