I got my second ear lobe piercings done and I kept them in for 7-8 weeks. I got an infection during the time but it healed. I got another infection after 8 weeks and my right ear lobe was HUGE. My mom forced me to take them out so I did and all the pus came out. However, I haven't put in my earrings for over a month and I think they are just about closed up. I have a very thin bump behind both of the piercings. I am planning on repiercing them just a little higher than they were before next month.
Two questions:
1.) Will the ear piercing marks be noticeable from up close? If they will, then how long will they be there since I haven't put my earrings in that much.
2.) When I get my second lobe piercings again a little higher, will that affect the super thin bump behind both of my ears?
Thanks in advance!

Infections are common, and have many possible causes. Your ear might be rejecting the type of metal that the earring is, you might not have cleaned them enough (each persons body needs a different amount of sterilization), they might have healed funny, or maybe your body is simply rejecting the foreign object. The marks will always be slightly noticeable if you're looking for them. i have two very small scars on my cartilage from where i used to have that pierced. (I ended up taking them out for my job). However, if you're just talking to someone in close quarters they shouldn't be noticeable. Same thing goes for the bumps. they will most likely always be there, however the swelling should die down in a week or two. it helps them to heal quicker if you clean them with saline, or even a basic contact solution. When you get them re-pierced, you could even go over the original hole. It shouldn't affect the small bump. The small bump that has formed is scar tissue. Best of luck!
1) they may just be seen as scars and since it was a earlobe they may be there for a while
2) well I don't know ask your doctor about that that's a good question
