Sexual abuse question?
What is it called if a child (under 18) who is working for a church and is also a member of that church that is inappropriately touched by the priest? It is the only income that the child has/had and he was afraid to get fired and loose the money, the priest also made him feel like the only person who loved him was that priest. Is it sexual abuse? and to what degree?

It is called trespassing or interference in the affairs of other persons without any permission from them. From your own mental health point of view, if you consider this issue seriously, it is their look out. I think there is no need for you to interfere in their personal matters and break your head unnecessarily. Please have some self-analysis and probe the level of your present mental confusion. You will ultimately find that your level of confusion and their degree of madness will match properly.

Child's only income? That's tough. If possible, find another job. Have you talked to anyone you can trust about it? That would help a lot.

Yes that's sexual abuse.Anytime anyone touchs you and it's not wanted by you or ok wirh you,that's abuse.It's very bad of this priest to be taking advantage of this poor innocent child whose just trying to make some money.I understand that this child is afraid of loosing their paying job but this is serious and this child is in danger!This abuse is not goung end.It's only going to get worse,not to mention the emotional&mental damage this child needs to know that NO this priest DOES NOT LOVE YOU AT ALL!God loves you and God does NOT like it when people harm his children.It is time for this child to stop working and listening&believing this priest,needs to tell a trusted adult exactly what this EVIL man is doing and find a good counseler start talking&working threw this so that they may be able to live a happy healthy life after this.This child needs to be strong and know that they are loved by the right people,they didn't deserve this,that they're precious to God.Good luck,I'm sorry to hear this.
Yes it certainly is and hundreds of people are suing the Catholic church because of it. Very common, so wrong. The child would probably have fears and nightmares forever. Don't let them get away with it, no matter how old the child becomes. Priest should be defrocked and castrated!!
I don't fully understand but to me it sounds like the priest did that to you...anyhow you should call the police tell them what happened.and don't feel guillty .not your fault it happend.now as of the charges he be held undet attemp of sexual harrasment,and or sexual offender and no matter what he touched (him/her) so he WILL be sentenced to what degree, I would think the judge has it covered.
It is definitely considered sexual abuse; it is molestation. It needs to be reported to either the police or child protective services.
This is definitely sexual abuse, as well as psychological and economic abuse.
The person is being molested. I was molested in 3rd grade and so I know how it feels. SO yeah. hope I helped.
