I'm a freshman girl in high school. I made it on the track team at school, but I injured my hip. I'm going to start physical therapy soon, but it's hard to run more than a mile. I'm worried that it won't get better by the time track season starts which is in February. At my school, lacrosse is a no cut sport and if you try out you automatically get on varsity. Freshman might not get to play in the games though. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to run but I was wondering if because of my hip injury I should play lacrosse instead.
(BTW I was running about a six minute mile before my hip was injured if that helps)

I would say track would be better, I don't really know much about lacrosse but if you really want to excell, it would be in track. I've had bad knee issues, Achilles Tendend issues, and I made it out fine. Just take it easy till track, but you're young, if you're hip is still bad by track season, I'd recommend a sport where you don't run as often. I can't promise lacrosse would be any different.
running. lacrose is to much of a contact sport it might hurt you even more
