weight has only some things to do with it. it's true that overweight people have a harder time with running, but only because they have to carry around more weight than others while running. extra weight = extra effort because more energy is needed.
you just sound out of shape. run more if you want to run better and faster. gain endurance and strength. that's all that you can do, really.
Make sure your getting enough of the right food in your diet, and also do stretches before you run, get plenty of water. Your lungs may hurt because you need to pace yourself better, or your not used to running as well as others.
I'm sure someone else will answer with more info but I hope a helped if even any xP
I think it's because your probably not use to running. And since your only doing it once a week I don't think someone could get better at running, say if you did it 2-3 times a week.
your probably just running weird
if you run hard stomping your feet you will be hella tired
also dont breath in through your mouth and cross your arms too much
it just messes up airflow to your lungs
wen you run,
dont run so fast in the beginning
make it a light jog
head and shoulders straight
breathe in through your nose calmly and out through your mouth
also be hydrated and dont eat anything spicy before
trust me
