ok..traveling alone isn't a good idea,because many bad things can happen to you..like getting kidnapped by strangers,getting lost and not knowing where to go,because you are not familiar with the city, or state. you should find someone to go with you, also try to go with someone that knows spanish, or just learn how to speak spanish..by taking classes, so you can communicate with the people from spain. your 19 very young still, I think you still need an older adult to look out for you just in case if anything happens. I think traveling is great, but you need to protect yourself everywhere you go..there are crazy people out in the world..just stay safe and have an older adult with you.after you find someone to go with you then everything is good, but going alone not a smart idea!!!

If you want to do it & feel comfortable then go for it - there's absolutely nothing wrong with travelling alone, you only have yourself to please.

I've travelled all around the world on my own & have had some really amazing times & met some wonderful people & I wouldn't swap that for anything.

Just take the usual precautions - you know, don't do anything that you wouldn't do at home, wander down dark alleys at night, go off with men you've only just met etc. Also I would advise thoroughly researching everything before you go, make sure you have enough money for emergencies if they should arise & try to learn a few phrases/basics of Spanish...... Oh & lastly have a fabulous time ;-)

I think it's always unsafe to travel alone, but more so on a long journey such as the Camino de Santiago. I mean the chances of you meeting up with other travelers and traveling in packs is big, but you can't bank on that. I don't think you should go alone, but it's your call.

I haven't any issue with vacationing solo. yet then, i'm additionally a 6'3"- 230 lb guy, so there's no longer as great of w possibility to me as there may well be to you. i might say attempt to locate a vacationing pal. in case you won't be able to, make advantageous countless human beings recognize our vacationing plans and touch them each so often so that they recognize you're ok. yes that is a very unsafe idea. Have you ever seen the movie taken, well i know its just a movie but i have been told like fifteen time already that that actually does happen. Peopl do kidnap young travleing girls and turn them into prostitutes, if i were you i would not go anywhere until you find a friend or even a famliy member to go with you. Please please please take my advice and wait until you find someone to go with. Ask every friend you know along with every family member you trust until you find someone. Im just saving your life right now.

I do not think it is a bad idea. If you are ok with it, just go for it. My friend ( 22years old), ok, he is boy, but still....he travelled all around the world ( like USA, China, Thailand...) on his own and was happy with that. Good luck x x x

If you are more interested in learning to communicate Spanish than read through or publish it (they do educate studying and creating but speaking is far a lot more heavily emphasized)

If you have to ask the question then you should not go alone. On the other hand, will you spend the rest of your life having to have your hand held?

travel, by all means, but walking about on your own,is another story,if you cant get someone to go with you, then try and go with a group and escort.
