IF you have a DVD- RW or a CD-RW only then you can Burn.

having a CD-R and DVR-R is just reader you cannot burn.

The simple answer is Yes! you can burn DVD's with the Dell Dimension E510. All you need to do this is to get some good disc burning software such as Ahead Nero (which isn't free but is very very good), or some relatively good free software that a quick google will solve.
