I have a Windows xp and I was having a problem when trying to view a webpage that needed to use Adobe reader. I looked for help and thought I found it but when I did what it said, it restarted my computer and when I got back on I did not have an internet connection and I couldn't open a lot of other things because of several errors that occured. What I did was I went into the start menu, clicked run, typed in msconfig, went to the "general" tab, clicked on Selective Startup and then unchecked all of the boxes. I hit Apply, then Close and after that it told me to restart the compter. When it restarted I had no internet connection and a lot of other problems. How do I get my computer back to normal?

Reverse the changes you did. Go back to msconfig and re-check the boxes. You probably disabled important startup services (like your internet connection) during the unchecking process. You have to make sure you're disabling the right ones. Not just all of what's listed.
So go into Msaconfig and turn all those pretty little tick boxes back on. What else?
