I'm using my HP pavilion desktop and wanting to use my 24" insignia tv as a monitor, Im using a hdmi monster cable to connect the two. I know all your supposed to do is turn the tv and desktop on and press input then go to hdmi, but when I press input it only stays on tv and doesn't let me go to any other input options. It says "Please run channel auto scan".
