well everytime i open my internet explorer on my laptop, it says "internet explorer cannot display the webpag" so i click diagnose connection problems and it says "the remote device or resource won't accept the connection"

i have no idea what this means, but the laptop has the internet cable in it, thats connected to the internet box. (don't know the terms or names >.<) but yeah, and when i hook my internet cable to my xbox to play live it works fine, and on my deskstop. but when i put it in my laptop, and open up IE it doesn't work.

i don't what i did, or what the problem is, please gimme a step by step solution :)
