Well, I'm a girl and I use the word adorable a lot on my guy friends. Things like "Oh your hair feels so fluffy, it's adorable, you feel like a tribble." or "Aw look at that, you look adorable." Me and my girlfriends use it all the time on this one guy in our group, but I'm pretty sure none of us are into him like THAT. Sorry if you feel like you're being lead on, but if girls call you adorable it doesn't really mean anything..
